The Del Rubio Triplets lived nearby in a trailer in San Pedro. Our band The Shatners opened for them once...and around that time they asked me to do a couple of show flyer designs for them.
In order to get the details for the flyers, I had to meet them at a convalescent home on a Saturday, where they were playing for some senior citizens. Fun to see them do "Whip It" in front of a bunch of 90 year olds.
Not only were each of the Del Rubio's killer acoustic rhythm guitar players, but they had some killer dance steps, too...and of course, loads of corny jokes.
I saw them a long time ago in the early '90s at a gay club in Berkeley, CA, and they were so good live! Really talented women, and it is so sad that they're not together anymore.

Hee-Hee. You're welcome, I guess?
Thanks sincere! :O
they had me at "3rd Man Theme"-- thanks!
these gals were my darlings of Special X on XM radio's early days with Genralissimo Stacha Ortega.

As they say, a class act.
